Zebra and society finches together3/10/2024 They also have different vocalizations and body language, so although they often cage well together, they still cannot interact on the same level that two of the same species would. Societies love to sleep in nests and zebras are more prone to perch sleeping. I think a Zebra would be happier with another Zebra to keep it company, especially at night. Should I be worried? Do I need to remove their nest? Should I go back to the pet store and purchase new birds friend as well? Or do they just need some time to get used to each other? They go Into their nest every night and leave new bird out on a perch to sleep. The old birds are just leaving new bird out. New bird and old birds don’t seem to be aggressive towards one another. The cage is very large so I figured they’d have room to find space for themselves if needed. I know it is recommended to separate the one you’re introducing in a different cage for a few days but I don’t have another cage so I just threw him in there. I finally found a really cute male zebra and took him home 3 nights ago. I’ve read that the two types usually get along pretty well and i thought it would be nice to hear two different songs. I’ve been on the look out for a zebra finch for a while. They are all happy and healthy, they have a nest with a few eggs that won’t hatch and they mostly sit in the nest all day at this time. ![]() One of the siblings died last summer, leaving me with 3 societies. I have a family of society finches that are all related but two are from different clutches.
